I have had many requests to teach workshops near my studio. I’m pleased to offer the opportunity to take one of my most popular classes in a very special place.
Download Animal Head Class Registration Form
I am collaborating with White Birch Cove Retreat,
a beautful setting on the shore of Lake Ontario near my home. You will
learn my technique of sculptural feltmaking that combines traditional
wet felting with contemporary needle sculpting. I will guide you through
a step-by-step process to create your own captivating animal head.
This a two day class to ensure individual attention. The first day will
be devoted to establishing the basic form of the animal head and
felting.
The second day we will concentrate on sculpting and refining the features. I will also demonstrate how I make life-like animal eyes.
This is the same class that I teach at the NIADA Conference. My NIADA 2012 class filled up quickly so if you couldn't sign up or didn't make it to NIADA this year, here's another opportunity to take this fun class. The cost for the class is $225 per person which includes the kit fee. Overnight accommodations are extra. You can check out the guest options and details at White Birch Cove Retreat Reservations. Hotel lodging is also nearby and reasonably priced.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Cheers,
Deborah
