With conferences and shows on the horizon, this year is shaping up to be pretty busy. In May, the second annual Susan Quinlan Artist Doll & Teddy Bear Convention will be held in Philadelphia. Susan, Terry and dedicated friends do a marvelous job of putting on a great event. Last year was a lot of fun. I look forward to attending and showing some new work this year. The museum is also conducting an extensive survey about why collectors buy antique, artist and/or contemporary dolls and teddy bears. To participate, go to the Susan Quinlan Museum & Library website.
The 2012 NIADA Conference & Dollmaking School will be in Stamford, CT. The Conference runs Sept. 27-30 and the Dollmaking School is Oct. 1-3. I'll be teaching my felted animal head class. You can register and find out more inforation at the NIADA website. NIADA is offering some great "early bird "specials. Classes tend to fill up fairly quickly.
I've posted some pictures of NIADA 2011 Felted Animal Head Class in Denver. It was such a great time.
The students were fantastic and the work was really creative. Thanks. I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Hope you had as much fun as I did.
More to come.
Cheers,
Deborah
